You Are What You Eat! 

The originator of the phrase “You are what you eat” is the French lawyer Anthelme Brillat-Savarin, who surely never thought it would turn into a proverb in the following centuries when he wrote it in 1826. The original version of the saying is “Tell me what you eat and I will tell you what you are” (Dis-moi ce que tu manges, je te dirai ce que tu es). (1)

 

Although there were French and German versions, it took a pretty long time for this phrase to get its place in English. Although the saying differs from person to person, the statement was always the same; things we eat have a bearing on the way we live, the situation of our health and the state of our mind.

 

You may call us dreamers but paying your food the money, effort and time it deserves has a payback in the end both physically and mentally.
